Tuition Fees At the graduate level at UBC, tuition fees are based on fee payment schedules (Schedule A for Full-time or Schedule B for Part-time), rather than on the number of credits in which a student registers. Graduate students on the Full-time Fee Schedule (A) are required to pay a minimum of 1 year's tuition, at 3 installments per year (3 installments in total). Graduate students on the Part-time Fee Schedule (B) are required to pay a minimum of three year's tuition, at 3 installments per year (9 installments in total). The fact that, generally, credit load does not affect tuition fees is an important point to keep in mind. Students must pay the same tuition installment amount (whether Schedule A or Schedule B), irrespective of how many courses they take in any given term. Also, if students finish their program requirements prior to making their minimum number of fee installments, they will not be permitted to graduate until the minimum number of installments are paid in full. In addition to tuition fees, graduate students are also required to pay standard student fees (irrespective of credit load) and graduation fees. Students on program extension and leaves-of-absence will also be required to pay additional fees. For more information on graduate tuition and student fees, please visit the UBC Calendar's Graduate Student Fees web page. The OGPR has created a tuition table in PDF format that outlines the amount of tuition MA, MEd and PhD students would pay if they went full-time or part-time over a number of years. The table is based on 2005-2006 tuition schedules and differential tuitions or program fees, like that of the MET, ALGC, EdD, MHK or the Master of Science are not included.
