The Faculty of Education have one of the strongest cadres of faculty members in North America, playing an active role in key national networks involved in educational research, development, and policy deliberations. The Faculty has 117 tenured or tenure stream professors, approximately 200 sessional faculty members and part-time instructors. The Faculty has been privileged to welcome five Canada Research Chairs and to have in its midst five Distinguished University Scholars, along with many others who have been distinguished for the excellence of their scholarship in impressive ways. Our faculty members have contributed tremendously to scholarship, government and policy, the professions and communities. The prominence of our faculty members is also reflected in the various positions of great responsibility they hold in scholarly organizations.
